Raat Mein Dekho Jheel Ka Chehra
Kis Kadar Paak, Pursukoon, Gamgeen
Ķoi Saaya Nahi Hai Paani Par
Koi Silwat Nahi Hai Aankhon Mein
Neend Aa Jaaye Dard Ko Jaise
Jaise Maryam Udaas Baithi Ho
(Look closely at the face of the lake in the deep of the night,
How incredibly pure, tranquil, and laced with a quiet melancholy it appears;
There is not a single shadow cast upon the still surface of the water,
Nor is there any crease of worry or restlessness in its reflective eyes.
