Gulzar Hindi Poetry Aansoo-3

Gulzar

Sheesham Ab Tak Sehma Sa Chupchaap Khada Hai,
Bheega Bheega, Thithura Thithura.
Boonden Patta Patta Karke,
Tap Tap Karti Toot-Ti Hain To Siski Ki Awaaz
Aati Hai!
Barish Ke Jaane Ke Baad Bhi,
Der Talak Tapka Rehta Hai!

Tumko Chhode Der Hui Hai
Aansoo Ab Tak Toot Rahe Hain

Gulzar

The Sheesham tree stands silent, still in fright,
Drenched and shivering through the night.
Drops fall, leaf by trembling leaf,
And each breaking drop whispers a sigh of grief.
Even after the rain has ceased,
It drips for hours, seeking release.

It’s been a while since you’ve gone away,
Yet my tears keep falling, day by day.

Gulzar
