सूरज के ज़ख्मों से रिसता लाल लहू
दूर उफ़क से बहते-बहते इस साहिल तक आ पहुँचा है

किरणे मिट्टी फाँक रही है
साये अपना पिंड छुड़ाकर भाग रहे है

थोड़ी देर में लहरायेगा चाँद का परचम
रात ने फिर रण जीत लिया है
आज का दिन फिर हार गया हूँ..

Sooraj Ke Zakhmon Se Rista Laal Lahoo
Door Ufaq Se Bahte-Bahte Is Sahil Tak Aa Pahuncha Hai
(The crimson blood oozing from the deep wounds of the setting sun
Has drifted all the way from the distant horizon to touch this lonely shore.)

Kirnein Mitti Phaank Rahi Hain
Saaye Apna Pind Chhudaakar Bhaag Rahe Hain
(The dying rays of light are biting the dust as they fade away,
While the fleeing shadows break free from their bonds and scramble to escape.)

Thodi Der Mein Lahrayega Chaand Ka Parcham
Raat Ne Phir Ran Jeet Liya Hai
Aaj Ka Din Phir Haar Gaya Hoon..
(In just a few moments, the triumphant moon will hoist its silver banner,
For the ruthless night has once again conquered the battlefield of the sky,
