Mohammad Rafi‘s song Tumne Mujhe Dekha Lyrics in Hindi and English with its meaning (English Translation) from the movie Teesri Manzil (1966) starring Shammi Kapoor and Asha Parekh. The music of the movie is given by R. D. Burman and the song is written by Majrooh Sultanpuri.
Teesri Manzil had six songs, all of which were written by Majrooh Sultanpuri, and sung by Mohammed Rafi. Four of these were duets with Asha Bhosle, whom Burman later married. This was the First Hit Musical by R. D. Burman. Burman gave credit to lyricist Majrooh Sultanpuri for recommending him to Nasir Hussain (producer), the producer and writer of the film. Vijay Anand (Director) also said that he had arranged a music session for Burman before Nasir Hussain.
Teesri Manzil was also the last Hussain film in which Mohammed Rafi sang all the songs. By Yaadon Ki Baraat, Kishore Kumar had temporarily become the dominant singer in Hussain’s movies, but Rafi always had a special place in Hussain’s films and would later win major awards for the song “Kya hua tera wada” in Hussain’s Hum Kisise Kum Naheen (1977).
The film became a hit and remains popular to this day. Although it is a murder mystery, it continues to draw repeat audiences even though the identity of the murderer is no longer a secret. Teesri Manzil was the last time Shammi starred in a Nasir Hussain film.
